Hi, I’m Bruno

Bruno is the puppy who notices when you leave the room. He was the first of Vega's litter to open his eyes and he has been keeping track of everyone ever since — not anxiously, just thoroughly, the way good Rottweilers do.

He has the broad head and heavy bone we breed for, and a temperament that stays underneath it all rather than on top of it. Loud noises get a look, not a reaction. The vacuum gets a look. The neighbour's tractor got a look and then a nap.

He has been raised underfoot in our kitchen with two children, a cat who has no patience for puppies, and a steady rotation of visitors. He is crate-sleeping through the night, started on potty training, and has taken to a leash more easily than most.

Bruno will want a job eventually. Obedience, rally, a cart, a family to walk beside on long mornings — he is not fussy about which, but he will be happier with one. He would suit a home that wants a dog in the room with them, not in the yard.
